At Sri Showme, Sri Arini and Avicena School, we continue to emphasise the importance of physical development through engaging and interactive gross motor activities. One of the recent activities conducted was βPassing Balloon with Elbowβ, where our students participated in a fun and cooperative movement-based session.
In this activity, we guided our students to hold a balloon using their elbows and pass it to their friends. This simple yet creative task encouraged active participation while promoting teamwork and coordination among peers.
Through this activity, we observed that our students were able to enhance their balance, coordination, and overall body control. It also helped to strengthen their arm, shoulder, and upper body muscles through controlled movements. At the same time, we nurtured valuable social skills such as teamwork, turn-taking, and cooperation as they interacted with one another.
Additionally, the activity supported the development of listening skills as our students followed simple instructions, while also building their confidence through active participation in a supportive environment.
At Sri Showme, Sri Arini and Avicena School, we believe that meaningful learning takes place through play and movement. Through activities like this, we continue to support our studentsβ physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development in a joyful and engaging way.
