This meaningful and heartwarming activity was conducted as part of our experiential learning programme designed to nurture emotional awareness, empathy, and positive character development among students. The session focused on helping children understand the importance of emotions and the value of sharing in building strong friendships and a caring community.
During the activity, students were guided through discussions and simple reflections on feelings and emotions. They explored how different situations can influence how people feel, and how kindness and sharing can positively affect others. The children then took part in a sharing activity where they exchanged small gifts with their friends. This hands-on experience allowed them to directly observe and appreciate the joy that comes from giving and receiving with sincerity.
The atmosphere throughout the session was warm and joyful, as students expressed happiness while seeing their friends’ reactions. This helped them develop a deeper understanding of empathy, as they learned to recognise and respect the emotions of others.
The learning objectives of this programme included:
- Helping students recognise and understand feelings and emotions after sharing activities
- Encouraging awareness of friends’ emotions when receiving gifts
- Instilling the value of “Sharing is Caring” as part of daily behaviour and interactions
At Showme School, we believe that character education is just as important as academic learning. Activities such as Tadabbur Alam are carefully designed to provide meaningful experiences that help students grow into kind, considerate, and emotionally intelligent individuals.
Small acts of kindness, when practiced consistently, can create a lasting positive impact. Through this activity, students were reminded that sharing is not only about giving, but also about building happiness, strengthening friendships, and creating a caring environment for everyone.
