Sri Showme Primary – Year 6
Our Primary 6 students recently engaged in a hands-on carpentry class where they designed and built their very own pencil cases.
From measuring and assembling to adding the final touches, each step of the process encouraged students to develop focus, patience, and creativity. The experience allowed them to take ownership of their work while enjoying the satisfaction of creating something functional from scratch.
Beyond the final product, this activity played an important role in developing essential life skills such as problem-solving, fine motor coordination, and self-confidence. It also nurtured a sense of responsibility and pride in their craftsmanship.
At Sri Showme, we believe that meaningful learning happens through experience. This carpentry session is a reflection of our “learning by doing” approach, where students are given opportunities to explore, create, and grow beyond the classroom.
